Ifirst met Jeremy Hutch on a ride out in Gorman, CA where we instantly connected over our love for bikes and the outdoors. He grew up in Durban, a small surf town on the east coast of South Africa and has always had an eye for Design and felt inspired by the inner workings of engines, mechanics and moving, functional art forms.

The pursuit of love and freedom brought him to the US to seek out his own piece of the American dream. That’s when Hutchbilt opened its workshop doors in Inglewood, California with a focus on Industrial Design and building high end dual sport and adventure bikes and products.

The first time I got to lay my eyes on one of Jeremy’s builds was the Husqvarna 501 featured in this film, and I was thrilled to see it in action. Simply one of the most desirable bikes I’ve seen.

Jeremy’s story of passion for the craft pulled at me and I knew I had to create film a story about him. We shot both on location at his workshop and at one of the most spectacular public lands in California, Alabama Hills. A playground for many Hollywood movies. The landscape is breathtaking and unlike anything I've seen before and will have me come back to visit many more times. Hopefully for some more epic riding on epic machines with Jeremy Hutch.
