Team USA Wins MXoN

75th Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations

Rancho Cucamonga, CA:  After eleven long years, Team USA wins the 75th Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations on home soil in Buchanan, Michigan at RedBud MX! Team Dunlop Elite alumni Eli Tomac and Chase Sexton joined long time Dunlop rider Justin Cooper to bring home the Chamberlin Trophy back to the United States of America!

With perfect practice and qualifying race conditions on Saturday, team USA used their Dunlop tires to take the number one gate pick over the international field. Sunday’s rain throughout the day created difficult track conditions where many thought the European riders would have the upper hand. With the support of thousands of cheering and screaming fans, Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing’s Eli Tomac and Justin Cooper joined with Team Honda HRC Chase Sexton raised their flag high on the top step of the podium for the first time since St. Jean-d'Angély back in 2011!

Adding to the podium celebrations were Team France of Maxime Renaux, Marvin Musquin and Dylan Ferrandis and Team Australia’s Mitch Evans, Hunter Lawrence and Jett Lawrence rounding out the podium. This gave Dunlop seven out of the top nine riders racing on their tires, proving their international performance!

“We are all extremely proud of the performance by Team USA, Team France, Team Australia and all of our Dunlop riders” said Broc Glover, Sr. Manager of Off-Road Motorcycles for Dunlop. “As a past MXoN winner myself, I understand the importance of performing well at this prestigious race, especially in your home country, a big congratulations to Eli, Chase and Justin. Having seven of the nine riders on the podium running Dunlop tires shows just how well the new Geomax MX14 performs in a wide range of conditions, despite the difficult weather and track conditions we experienced. We were extremely pleased with how well our Dunlop’s performed this weekend at RedBud in front of such an international audience!”
