Dunlop Wins 85 Championships at the 50th annual Mini O's

For over twenty years, Dunlop has continued to provide support for this major amateur national.

Rancho Cucamonga, CA: The 50th annual Mini O’s at Gatorback Cycle Park would see record entries and prodigious competition with some of the most proficient athletes in the sport. Transpiring simultaneously with the Thanksgiving Holiday, thousands of athletes from around the globe traveled to Northern Florida to compete at the renowned venue.

For over twenty years, Dunlop has continued to provide support for this major amateur national. As with the season’s past, the soft/intermediate terrain MX33 was the tire of choice to clench eighty-five titles throughout the Supercross and Motocross portions of the event.

Starting the week on the Supercross track, forty-two competitors captured championships using the Dunlop brand. Noteworthy performances from members of Team Dunlop Elite included Casey Cochran [125 (12-17) B/C] alongside Kade Johnson [85cc (12-13)] Seth Dennis [85cc (9-13)], Kyleigh Stallings [Girls (11-16)] and Haiden Deegan making his big bike debut [450B]. Meanwhile, Team Dunlop Elite alumni Gage Linville acquired two overall championships in the 250 and 450 B Limited classes. Nick Romano, also alumni, earned two titles in both 250 and 450 Pro Sport classes.

Once the Supercross portion of the event concluded, athletes transferred over to the motocross segment of the event. While here, athletes accumulated another forty-three championships running Dunlop tires. With Cochran [125 (12-17) B/C, Schoolboy 1 (12-17) B/C], Johnson [85cc (9-11)], Stallings [Girls (11-16), Women 12+] and Dennis [85cc (9-11)], again, victorious in this particular category, Team Dunlop Elite riders would showcase award-winning performances. Gage Linville would amass four more gold medals in the B classes, while Nick Romano was honored as the recipient of the coveted Dunlop Silver Tire Award, an accolade granted to the competitor with the most points, participating in both Pro Sport and “A” classes.

“It was an amazing week with record numbers, great weather, and remarkable racing,” said Rob Fox, Dunlop Amateur Motocross Support Manager. “The MX33 was the tire to race on this week, and I want to thank all the riders for choosing Dunlop.”
