We all know the movie and we always knew that when Federal Moto did its first sport bike custom, we needed the beefiest bad boys of the 80’s, the GPZ1100.

Backstory: The year is 1986, Tom Cruise “Maverick” in Top Gun is seen tearing around in a GPZ900 Kawasaki by night and at day Flying a F-14 Tomcat. We all know the movie and we always knew that when Federal Moto did its first sport bike custom, we needed the beefiest bad boys of the 80’s, the GPZ1100. Hence the name “Danger Zone” and obviously the song from the movie! A 1984 Kawasaki GPZ1100, that came to us bone stock, with 120 HP, 73 Foot pounds of torque, a top speed of 135MPH, a redline of 9500 RPM and in our opinion too much baggage we had to strip away and show what her guts look like! We hope to think Tom Cruise would be proud to ride this and into the DANGER ZONE! Our newest family member here is Desmond Digiovanni that recently finished his Mechanical Engineering degree at Kettering Univesity in Michigan, he was an obvious hire and really took this build to the next level with 3D printing, Water Jetting and digital design work. Really is nice to only have to make a part once when the measurements are rendered digitally first haha. Damn kids these days. This bike was a commission build for an 80’s kid of course based out of Ohio who swears by only Kawasaki’s and KTMS’s. He is very excited for his Federal Moto Custom.

Gas tank came from a 2015 Honda CB1100-Custom gas cap welded in made of stainless
steel.
