Before we started Akin, we were always searching for riding gear that looked like normal streetwear, but protected you if things got sketchy. It didn't exist... so we created our own.
Our mission is to provide riders with the best-looking, highest quality riding gear and back it up with exceptional customer service. We only have a small number of products, which allows us to focus all of our energy on making them as good as they can be. We combine timeless aesthetics with modern safety technology, keeping you protected and looking good - both on and off the bike.

We’ve custom built this hoodie from the ground up just for you, and we haven’t held back on the extras.
Firstly, we developed an entire new fit that was tailored to suit the modern day motorcyclist. Say goodbye to the short and ‘boxy’ hoodies you’re used to. The Akin Protective Hoodie has a longer tailored fit, with a bit of extra length in the sleeves to prevent them from riding up when you’re on the bike. We also removed those pesky drawcords on the hood (who uses them anyway?) to prevent them slapping on the side of your helmet.
The outer shell is constructed of premium, heavy weight fleece with a water repellent coating. This coating causes water to bead and run off the fabric instead of soaking through. Neat huh?!
This hoodie is fully lined with one of the world's strongest aramid fibres which is well known for its superior abrasion resistance and durability. We’ve also used a premium mesh liner for breathability and thrown in a water resistant internal pocket to stash your valuables.
Need more protection? We’ve designed the Protective Hoodie to be 100% compatible with ‘Forcefield’ and D3O Body Armour inserts (sold separately). These are some of the best armour inserts in the world and we highly recommend investing in them.
